The appointment is part of an ongoing development programme that has seen the company expand significantly over the last 12 months. The Irish territory is an important part of the expansion plan for Altus who will be focusing on developing the sales and support infrastructure in the region to help maximise the tier one brands within the portfolio.

Joe Booth, Altus CEO, said: “2021 was a transformational year for Altus in Ireland and seeing the progress in developing our infrastructure has also been ideal. We now have a dedicated entity and a local team of experts following the employment of Michal Ostrykiewicz, our new Senior Applications Engineer, with Gareth now leading the new project charge. This has put us in a very strong starting position to build from within the region.

“Our market in Ireland has grown substantially so it’s important that we find people like Gareth who has the experience and knowledge to develop the business in the region.”

Mr Fenton joins Altus with comprehensive knowledge having worked within the sector for many years. With a successful track record and extensive experience of processes and technology in the electronics industry he will be a welcome addition to the team.

Mr Booth continued: “I am delighted that a person with Gareth’s calibre and potential has joined Altus in Ireland. As well as having all of the skill sets we look for in a team member and bags of enthusiasm, Gareth comes with great customer referrals which for us is of the utmost importance.

“With a very capable Sales Manager and Applications Engineer in the region, alongside the brands and processes we have in our portfolio, I can’t wait to see what Michal and Gareth can achieve in developing our business in the region. Watch this space!”
