Leading technology company Rockwell Automation is gearing up to host VirtualConnect 3.0, an entirely online virtual exhibition, showcasing the progression and advancement of automation technologies. The one-day event, which will educate industry leaders on the future of automation technologies, will kick off at 9:30am on 16th September 2020, and will use VR technology to simulate a real, in-person exhibition including talks, seminars, panel discussions and more.
Rockwell Automation, one of the world’s largest automation technology providers, with facilities in Dublin and Cork, will host industry leaders for presentations and discussions about how mechatronics, digital engineering, and process control can facilitate better business. More recently, Automation technologies have allowed businesses to adapt to the COVID-19 business environment. A report published by Voxeu.org highlights that automation has been hugely beneficial in the fight against COVID-19, while also alleviating the negative economic consequences associated with the pandemic.
VirtualConnect 3.0 aims to showcase these technological developments to more than 1,000 delegates from around the world. Titled The Next Horizon for Smart Manufacturing, it will follow three technology tracks, providing video presentations, demos, analysis, case studies and panel discussions on the topics of mechatronics, digital engineering, and process control. The event kicks off with an introduction and welcome from Nathan Turner, Director of Integrated Architecture EMEA Rockwell Automation, who will offer a contextual overview of the technologies transforming industry, before the three technology streams run concurrently throughout the day.
Virtual delegates on the digital engineering track will gain considerable insight into achieving flexible manufacturing at the plant and machine levels. Represented by customer Harro Höfliger and partners EPLAN and PTC, attendees will learn to unlock the digital potential of their own manufacturing ecosystem.
Meanwhile, on the mechatronics track, join customers Olivero Automazioni Industriali and Cama Group. The flexibility theme will centre on the adoption of robotics, smart conveyance – such as Independent Cart Technology (ICT) – and Autonomous Guided Vehicles, (AGV).
Finally, on the process control track, Rockwell Automation customer Lubrizol takes a deeper dive into modern DCS systems and the competitive advantages on offer, covering simplified, agile and capable systems that enable users to drive through impactful bottom-line business improvements by providing key operational information, how it is needed and where it is needed.
Susana Gonzalez, President for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Rockwell Automation said:
“In the era of digital transformation, knowledge and understanding of how to unlock the power of data through technology is the only way to truly expand human possibility. Our VirtualConnect conferences offer interactive learning and networking environments that are supporting the critical human aspect of rapid technology evolution.”
Registration is open now for the event, which takes place on 16th of September, 2020. Additional events will be scheduled in the coming months. Sessions will be recorded and available to registrants after the event.
Registration is now open for the event, while attendees will be invited to plan their day with the VirtualConnect agenda.
