Bosch Rexroth held its second Lean Factory Group event at its Portlaoise office to provide manufacturers with a new opportunity to learn the theory of lean tools and techniques.
Bosch Rexroth has successfully hosted two Lean Factory Group events, attracting over 300 delegates, to demonstrate the latest lean manufacturing innovations.
The free seminars featured practical sessions with delegates given the opportunity to discuss their own specific problems and requirements. A strong mix of companies from consumer goods, medical devices, food and packaging, machine builders and mobile equipment manufacturers were in attendance.
John Doran, regional sales manager at Bosch Rexroth, said: “Rexroth has a long history of providing lean factory solutions with its manual production system addressing the three lean principles of material transfer, material supply, and ergonomic workstations. This free event was a fantastic opportunity for our customers to hear from Lean Factory Group experts and talk to the Rexroth team about the challenges they are facing.
“The event was a rare opportunity for visitors to learn more about the theory of lean manufacturing techniques and to practically examine the ‘real time’ operation of a lean assembly line.”
