Seko Global Logistics, an Illinois, US-headquartered logistics provider has opened its second office in Ireland, at Westpark Business Campus, Shannon, County Clare. With an exisiting office in Dublin, Seko’s expansion to Shannon was prompted by a demand from its growing customer base in the west of Ireland for a locally-based service.
Making the announcement, president and CEO of Seko Global Logistics, Mark White, said: “The opening of the office in Shannon is in line with our global growth strategy. It gives us greater coverage in Ireland, which is being matched by similar expansions across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
“Shannon offers the perfect location to service both Munster and Connacht. It will enable Seko to more efficiently meet the needs of its customers in the west of Ireland and enable us to forge closer links with our customers and suppliers.
“As well as offering the traditional freight forwarding products such as customs brokerage, air, sea, road and courier services, SEKO will also provide its clients with very cost-effective IT solutions to manage their warehouse and transport requirements. These solutions are among the best in the market and can equally be deployed as single company use or as a fourth-party logistics option,” added White.
