Capillary soldering remains a reliable standard in HVAC and refrigeration applications – and for good reason

The technique exploits the natural capillary effect: when pipe and fitting are heated, the filler metal is drawn into the narrow gap between them via surface tension. The result is a mechanically strong and permanently sealed connection.

SANHA offers a wide range of high-quality solder fittings made from copper, brass, and CuFe (copper-iron alloy), tailored to specific pressure and temperature requirements. For example, CuFe solder fittings are ideal for high-pressure systems such as refrigeration circuits, including transcritical CO₂ applications.

All fittings conform to EN 1254 and are manufactured to tight tolerances for consistent results across installations.

Fun fact: The narrower the capillary gap, the better the flow – much like a sponge drawing up water.
