myenergi lands in France with smart energy diverter launch

Smart home energy technology manufacturer myenergi has announced the official launch of its eddi solar energy diverter in France. This marks the next phase of myenergi’s ambitious growth strategy and is a significant milestone in its European expansion plans

With more than 38 million households, 39 per cent of which are fitted with an electric hot water tank, France is widely considered one of Europe’s largest residential energy markets. However, with the export tariff for domestic solar (<9kW) having recently dropped from €0.12 to €0.04/kWh, demand for self-consumption technologies is increasing rapidly.

Designed to maximise renewable energy self-consumption, eddi uses surplus self-generated energy to heat water. By automatically sending electricity to where it’s needed most, the intelligent device helps homeowners to lower bills, reduce grid reliance and optimise green energy use within the home.

Fully-compatible with major European energy tariff types, including Base (fixed-rate), Heures Creuses (time-of-use) and Tempo (dynamic), eddi allows households to maximise the value of renewable energy.
