Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, has appointed Vladimir Tichy, former UK Vice President of Retail, as Vice President of the Ireland business. His role will cover the entire Schneider Electric portfolio of solutions and services in Ireland.

 Tichy will be responsible for leading the Ireland business, defining the country’s strategy with the senior management team, customer satisfaction, commercial growth plans and leading operation execution to enable further growth for the region. He will be responsible for the commercial performance of the country across all business units and will report into Tanuja Randery, Zone President, UK and Ireland.

Tichy, who joined Schneider Electric in 2000 as a technical and commercial support for MV equipment, has held numerous roles within the global energy management provider. He started his career in the Czech Republic where he held the roles of Product Manager MV, Distribution Sales Manager, Commercial Director for Distribution and Residential market and VP Power.

Vladimir Tichy moved over to the UK in 2012 to lead the Partner Retail team, requiring him to work closely with the team in Ireland. As VP of Retail, Tichy grew the UK business to a position of real strength and in 2015, the UK team won the fastest growth country award globally.
