Socomec, a specialist manufacturer of low voltage power management solutions, has today announced the UK & Ireland availability of its MASTERYS GP4 range – a three-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) delivering reliable power protection from 10 to 250 kVA/kW

The range introduces new 200 and 250 kVA/kW models, alongside high-efficiency (HE) versions that, for the first time, use Silicon Carbide (SiC) technology to improve efficiency in double‑conversion operation. All new models now include Smart Conversion Mode – a Socomec technology designed to increase efficiency without compromising the protection of critical loads.

Socomec launches MASTERYS GP4 UPS range in UK & Ireland, bringing efficient, high capacity power protection to critical infrastructure

Designed for environments where electrical continuity is critical, such as data centres and industrial and commercial buildings, MASTERYS GP4 combines continuous power protection with more efficient operating modes to reduce energy losses. In doing so, it supports growing demand for higher power capacity, while delivering more efficient built‑in redundancy compared with traditional approaches.

Smart Conversion Mode allows the system to operate more efficiently under stable conditions, while keeping the inverter active to ensure instant response (0 ms transfer) in the event of a disturbance. This enables efficiency of up to 99 percent, without the trade‑offs typically associated with conventional energy‑saving modes. High‑efficiency models also achieve up to 97.5 percent efficiency in their highest protection (VFI) mode, helping to reduce energy consumption and operating costs while maintaining full system redundancy.

Built with no single point of failure, MASTERYS GP4 maintains protection even in the event of a component issue, including an integrated static bypass to ensure continuity during overload or maintenance. Its reliability is independently validated, with a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of up to 350,000 hours in VFI mode.

“Organisations are under growing pressure to increase capacity without compromising uptime, particularly as energy demands continue to rise,” said Justin Killick, Country Manager, Critical Power, Socomec UK & Ireland. “Historically, that has come at the cost of efficiency. MASTERYS GP4 addresses this challenge by combining continuous protection with a more efficient approach to redundancy, helping operators support higher loads without unnecessary energy overhead.”
