Siemens has significantly extended its Partner network across the UK, after announcing its latest strategic agreement with Central Group, which sees it become a Distribution Partner for Siemens’ LV motors and couplings.
Central Group already provides expertise in the maintenance and repair of pumps and alternators, and the partnership will see it now also offer Siemens’ complete portfolio of low voltage motor products covering a performance range from 0.09 to 4000kW to end users and OEMs within the utilities, chemicals, metals, paper, food & beverage, oil & gas and renewables markets.
Central Group uses digital technology and innovations to better support its customers. This digitalisation strategy closely aligns to that of Siemens, as it continues to develop technologies, interfaces and infrastructures for implementing digital industrial production.
Just one of the ways in which new technological developments from Siemens will deliver tangible benefits to Central Group is the introduction of Smart tags. Holding communications and localisation functions within the smart tags, this data will accompany products along the production line recognising, logging and controlling process steps, significantly increasing efficiencies and optimising quality.
